Well, it's official, Saint Mary's bay will have two fish farms spearheaded by Cooke Aquaculture. I have mixed feelings on this as for a pro: could create a few local jobs and con: could negatively impact the marine environment in the bay and the ecosystem around it. One thing is for sure, it might never be reversed since the Nova Scotia government didn't negotiate with a delegation to restore ferry service out of Yarmouth, so, it's more than likely going to happen and will have the go ahead. Everyone against this is invited to a protest at the N.S. Legislature this Friday. The more voices, the better!!
