2 more ferries to be built locally
This is really great news for AF Theriault and Son, along with the just completed Christopher Stannix (pictured above) two more ferries will be built at the yard for Metro Transit for their Halifax-Dartmouth crossing. The $8.8 million contract sees a new ferry to be built by next year and another by 2018. Great news for the yard and guaranteed work in the area.
