Now, to a local port I very rarely go to since there's not a whole lot going on. Recently, the harbour in Saulnierville has gone through some major changes in three years. First in 2010, a new parking lot and breakwater were built. The rocks on the breakwater were trucked from behind the Weymouth area. Then, in 2012, more rocks were added to the newest breakwater (right side of picture) to make sure the harbour is well protected. This year saw some dredging work being done around the wharf area and not sure about further dredging operations at this time. A new pump house was also constructed at the wharf this summer. Future plans includes floating wharves around the new parking lot area, when or if is up to speculation at this time. All photos (except for the last one) taken on July 23.
