CBC radio reported yesterday that MV Princess of Acadia may have issues with her bow thruster, preventing her from docking in 20-30 km/h winds depending on it's direction. Perhaps why she never sailed on Saturday or today out of Saint John. Another CBC source in french reported that a tugboat was called to help assist the Princess depart from her berth in Saint John this morning. This apparently failed. No word on if this problem would be fixed right away or when she will head for refit in the first part of 2013 as this issue, according to reports, is not a safety concern for the vessel at this time. It is however, making headaches for local shippers of live lobster sending their product towards New England and Upper Canada.
