I would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter of the Halifax Shipping News (link to Halifax Shipping News blog) for sharing some new information on Lady White Head. According to the Canadian Vessel Registry, she will be renamed Marine Coaster III registered in St. John's NL and her new owners are Puddister Shipping Limited. The new ownership was in effect on July 3, 2012. Service history of Marine Coaster III: Originally named Lady White Head, she was built in 1976 by APEX Machine Works Limited and delivered service between Grand Manan Island and White Head Island in New Brunswick with a crossing time of approximately 20 minutes. She had a loaded capacity of 8 vehicles and 45 passengers. She has recently been replaced on this run by the newly built William Frankland.
