The New Brunswick DOT ferry William Pitt II will be refitted at AF Theriault's Shipyard. She has already been taken out of service and was last reported in Saint John, N.B. after being towed by Atlantic Towing's Atlantic Beech. Let's hope that there won't be a repeat of what happened in 2009 when the first William Pitt was being towed and ended up on the rocks of Long Island and was then scrapped. Both ferries were christened in honor of the engineeer who invented the underwater cable ferry.
