Today could be one of my last visits to see the
Princess of Acadia at work as she will be destined to be replaced in the near future. We're still unsure as to when the former
Blue Star Ithaki (temporarily renamed
Canada2014 since November) will do her runs between Digby and Saint John yet, however, still anticipating the vessel would start around this summer. To me, this is in no way paying my last respects to a great ship, which served us reliably for 44 years as I am planing one last round trip sailing aboard in the coming weeks as she embarks on a spring schedule soon. In my mind, the Princess has sure served us well in her years of service, however, it will soon be her time to retire and progress, as always, moves forward.
