It's appearing the days for MV Princess of Acadia are being numbered. If this article from Tradewinds is correct, we will see a newer vessel in operation next year. The vessel is MV Blue Star Ithaki from the Greek operators Blue Star Ferries owned by the Attica Group (also former owners of MV Atlantic Vision from 2002-2006). Based on my research, the vessel was built at Daewoo Heavy Industries hull 7504 in 2000, measures 123.8m long with a width of 18m. Maximum draught is 5.1m. The vessel can travel at around 23 knots backed by 4 Wartsila NSD 9L32 engines. She has a maximum capacity of 1,500 passengers.
